Early games critical for Arkansas success in 2024
Arkansas' first three difficult games are all away from home, Week 2 at Oklahoma State, Week 4 at Auburn and Week 5 against Texas A&M in Arlington. The Razorbacks must generate momentum early to have mid-to-late season success.

      Fans who have realistic attitudes are always better informed and more accurate in their predictions than pie-in-the-sky, wishful thinking people who try to tell everyone else that they aren't real fans and need to adjust their attitudes. You don't have the right to tell anyone else what to think or what kind of fan to be. In the highly unlikely event that the Hogs do better than we think, those of us who underestimated them will grab the salt and happily feast on as much crow as we can get.

    Bringing back Sam Pittman when everybody is predicting the season to be a struggle is the kind of stupid decisions by those in charge that have ruined Arkansas' football program. Putting John L. in charge for a year. Hiring Bert, who had no connections to the South and a complete opposite offense than what was working under Petrino. Choosing Chad Morris over Mike Norvell. And finally hiring a career o-line coach and putting him in charge of your program after they couldn't close the deal with Lane Kiffin. Keeping a lame duck coach around for an extra year is only going to dig the program into a further hole. Even a program like Kansas, who probably had the worst program in the country not long ago, got their act together by hiring a quality coach. But Arkansas is currently going nowhere.

    If you think Pittman is the problem at Arkansas you don't know shi* about your own football program. Arkansas doesn't have the talent in state yet everybody cries we need more Arkansas guys. Pittman plays teams loaded with twice the talent within one score of victory. If Arkansas fans actually supported football then we would have over 5000 NIL members like Ole Miss and not 800. Pittman isn't the issue it's BS fans that want a new coach every 4 years when it's not the coach that's the issue. It's the lack of available talent with no NIL support. No other coach is going to win with these players anymore than Pittman has and we can keep firing the get guy and wondering why we never have good football. If you want to comment as a fan then donate to NIL or go pick another team. I

    • @logansmith1032
      @logansmith1032 3 дні тому

      Arkansas hasn't had the in state talent ever. That's not a legitimate excuse. It's also not all about NIL. Texas AM had the #1 ranked freshman class in college football in 2022 because of their NIL money being over $4 million. That team went 5-7. Based on your logic, Texas AM didn't have the in state talent to compete. That's absurd. It's not about in state talent and NIL alone. Coaching matters.

    • @markcouch5258
      @markcouch5258 2 дні тому

      @@logansmith1032 that's the worst rebuttal I've seen in a while. They were freshman at Texas A&M. And they all transferred out bc they didn't get anywhere near the NIL they were promised. Based on my logic? No I don't think I ever said anything about Texas being anywhere near Arkansas' level for in state talent. In fact they produce more talent in a year in the state of Texas than we do on 10 in Arkansas. A freshman class doesn't mean you win the next year dummy. Either way I bet a&m has a much better recruiting class every year than Arkansas. It takes years for kids to develop or to have to get all your talent out of the portal. Either way you have made a terrible argument. Arkansas will always be bottom of the SEC for recruiting yet nobody wants to give NIL to help get better recruits. And everybody expects us to beat teams with more NFL talent then we could hope to have in a decade. Pittman consistently gets worse players to play well against tougher competition. Missouri has been successful because they are spending NIL that our fans refuse to give. Ole Miss hauled in the best transfer class with NIL. Meanwhile Pittman is getting 3 stars to compete against 4 and 5 stars and fans just want to cry about him not being good enough. I don't have to prove I'm right. If he is fired I would bet a stack that unless we get Nick fucking Saban. We will be firing the next coach in 5 years. Unless they level the NIL playing field with the house vs NCAA Arkansas is always going to be at the bottom with bottom tier fans.

    • @logansmith1032
      @logansmith1032 День тому

      @markcouch5258 I'm not gonna lie, I stopped reading your response after the 2nd sentence. Pittman has won 33% of his conference games at this point. So, statistically, that's a problem. Morris won 0 conference games with two top 25 recruiting classes. Arkansas's highest ranked recruit just committed to LSU a few days ago, and he didn't do it for the academics. Arkansas has never been a recruiting mecca for high school recruits, yet somehow Nutt and Petrino both did pretty well. Bottom line, Arkansas has finished last or 2nd to last in the past 8 out of 12 seasons in the SEC West. That's the worst stretch in over 20 years. Arkansas's high school talent level hasn't dropped off that much. You got more than one problem with your program chief.

    • @markcouch5258
      @markcouch5258 День тому

      @@logansmith1032 yeah football is different now. And your top recruit left because his coaches have to take him on those trips and they are getting paid by certain schools to get him up sign. But that's not important. You aren't going to get receipts when the fans don't give enough NIL to get anybody. I'm just saying support the team regardless of who the coach is. Instead of blaming the coach when he has no resources compared to 90% of his competition. So no I don't think it's on him. Ole Miss has over 5500 NIL members while we have 800. You will never compete until the fans get on board.

Our OL’s have been mediocre at best. First time in my life I will not be attending games, or buying merch. I spend lots of money every year, but no more. If the O line hadn't turned into a disaster last season who knows what we could have done. If that is fixed and we have cosch BP calling plays again we could easily win 9-10 games or be in the fight to win that many. Most expected around 9 last year until the wheels come off so why not now.

      Taylon Green having BMFP as his OC... we'll see an emergence of all kinds of offensive production. The Oline will be better by scheme with an athlete like Green as QB . WPS 🐗

    Want to play in the NFL and get great coaching And have a chance to play for championships, Go to LSU, if that’s not important to you, go to Arkansas, They are not championship material
